Hi hi, thank you for dropping by! I’m Ai Leen, a Singapore-based in-home photographer. I love documenting life as it naturally unfolds: the chaos, the routines, the love that lives in everyday spaces. Wherever you call home, I’ll come to you to capture the stories within. And yes, my name has “AI” in it - but I promise, everything you see here is entirely human, just with a little bit of salt for flavour ;)
My family has always been big on photos and documenting milestones, so it feels only natural that I’ve been drawn to cameras from a young age. See the picture on the right - it's a photo of me taken at home by my dad when I was just 6 months old! It’s such a classic that I’ve kept it close all these years (it’s still on my photo wall in my room!).
Outdoor shoots were always my thing - until this in-home session (see left) showed me just how magical cozy spaces could be.
Since then, I’ve fallen in love with photographing
couples and families in their homes - it’s where I found them feeling most comfortable (the air-con definitely helps too!), allowing their most authentic, organic selves shine through, and makes the most beautiful photos.
My photography style is about capturing the
little in-between moments - the way love looks when no one’s posing for it. And my editing brings a dreamy, warm glow to those memories, so they’ll always feel as magical as they did in the moment.
Photography holds a very special spot in my heart, as it captures the all too fleeting moments of life - even the ones we may not remember in the busyness of everyday life. It has given me something to return to, time and time again - and that’s why this work feels so meaningful to me: being able to offer you and your family the same gift of remembering.
With me, you’ll never have to worry about posing - my approach to photography is all about capturing genuine, unposed moments as they naturally unfold.
Why "Shots with Salt"?
The name is inspired by the idea of being salt and light to the world. Just as salt preserves and brings out the richness of flavour, and light that brings a quiet glow and warmth to the heart, I hope my work carries that same spirit - capturing moments that hold their emotion and story, so your memories remain vivid and timeless.
